The role

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer that could take on, or has experience as, a Team Lead with additional operational and project management tasks. The ideal candidate will help us develop and grow our team in this exciting new location for ICP. This role requires very good spoken and written English skills and with some client facing online meetings.

You will be ICP’s Mexico Hub team lead, with some duties that include day to day management of the operational running of the office and team. During the set-up phase, this will mean some liaison with ICP Executive team who will support with any operational needs.

For client projects you will be liaising with Project Managers from London, Atlanta and New York, taking briefs for a number of global clients and need to be able to manage multiple projects at the same time.

Upon a brief you will make sure it is correctly understood and allocate the project within the production team, including yourself.

 

You will take responsibility for:

  • First point of contact for receipt of production briefs
  • You will liaise with UK and US project managers on client briefs and project questions
  • Building time and resource plans for large scale fast turnaround production projects
  • Action the client / brief feedback and brief back into the rest pf the production team with expert interpretation and understanding
  • Providing UK and US production team with internal resource estimates to help plan the production phases accurately
  • Quality assurance and control, ensuring the brief has been actioned correctly by the rest of the studio team, prior to delivery to the project managers
  • Regular Internal calls with the production project management team for design reviews. Responsible for keeping track of all feedback and allocate back into the production team
  • Understanding of design, brand guidelines and device/publication specifications
  • Management of internal production servers, ensuring all production assets are structured correctly as per ICP best practice
  • Keeping internal project management systems and WIP trackers up to date
  • Regular reporting to the Head of Production, Creative Operations team and Business Directors

As a Graphic Designer, you will build layouts and digital artworks for use in a number of environments, primarily for desktop, mobile and e-commerce platforms and websites.

 

The work will mostly consist of creation of layouts from assets supplied and within brand guidelines and subsequent adaptations to different languages and sizes.

 

Experience creating advertising and creative content banners with an exceptional eye for design and layout is essential with a skillset to build in a variety of technologies and methodologies.

As static digital graphic designer, you will require experience of banner development in a commercial environment, preferably a production agency.

The successful applicant will be capable of hitting the ground running and will be able to competently fulfil the duties of the role to a high standard

Previous experience in a production environment. Minimum of 6 years working with global brands.

KEY SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must have excellent experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Creative skills with an exceptional understanding of design, guidelines and layouts
  • Ability to think creatively and find solutions to design challenges
  • High level of retouching skills
  • Ability to work on large scale fast turnaround production projects consistently and communicate timelines and best approaches to the Production Project Manager
  • Responsibilty includes receiving briefs and understanding content that will ensure all deliverables meet production requirements both creatively and technically
  • From brief stage, to be able to design new layouts and artworks for digital content from a suite of assets and brand guidelines
  • A proven problem solver
  • Understanding of design, brand guidelines and device/publication specifications
  • Experience working with complex guidelines including Apple, Amazon, LG and other device specifications
  • Extremely high attention to detail and technical understanding
  • Ability to create assets from provided key art and templates to ensure all content is consistent to masters/guidelines
  • To produce technically correct artwork ready to all media specifications. colour profile, size, and file type
  • To work with Team Lead and other members of the production team to ensure that all artwork produced is consistent across the account and to required deadlines
  • To maintain the highest level of standards and ensure that all content adheres to the brief, prior to release to the Production Project Management teams
  • Must have experience and working knowledge of how to follow brand and corporate guidelines
