Karina Smeke

Karina Smeke was born and raised in Mexico City, where she studied Graphic Design at Universidad Iberoamericana, building a strong foundation in visual communication and strategic thinking. She brings over nine years of experience leading her own Graphic Design Studio, collaborating with a diverse range of clients to deliver impactful creative solutions. This experience shaped her ability to manage projects end-to-end, translating business needs into clear, effective design outcomes across multiple disciplines. At ICP México, she began as a Project Manager and advanced to Global Head of Art Direction. In this role, she leads global creative direction, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, scalable design solutions. Her work sits at the intersection of design and technology, with a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Karina is known for her collaborative and empathetic leadership style, fostering environments where teams thrive, grow, and consistently produce their best work. She believes that strong relationships and clear communication are essential to delivering exceptional results. Outside of work, she is passionate about the outdoors—rock climbing, camping, and hiking. One of her most meaningful achievements has been completing the trek to Everest Base Camp. She also values spending time in nature with her young son, using these experiences to build resilience, curiosity, and confidence.
